2009-10 Program Highlights:

District Strategic Plan 2006-2011: Goal 1.2: Implement Visual and Performing Arts instruction to all students at every school site
VAPA committee members include representatives from all school sites, teachers, administrators, district superintendent, and community members

Adopted standards-based K-6 music curriculum
Developed year-long music curriculum guide. All students K-6 receive weekly instruction in music.

Offer all levels of band for grades 4-8 throughout district
Offer choir for grades 4-8 throughout district
Fallbrook Music Society is providing two music assemblies per grade.  Assemblies are grade-specific and linked to curriculum.

Junior high offers classes using Paxton Patterson Labs. Students can choose from different career opportunities including interior design, graphic design, architecture, fashion merchandising, and textiles.  Additionally, the classes provide small group rotation of hands-on workshops in ceramics, jewelry making, wood projects, painting, and welding and metal working.
