2007-08 Program Highlights

• Began VAPA adoption (K-8)
• Strategic Plan
• Currently working under 5-year visual and performing arts strategic plan
• District VAPA Committee formed in 2006 to articulate priorities, vision, goals and next steps. Recommendations include continuing strong emphasis on visual arts and music education and expanding opportunities for dance and theatre. Recommendations also include an emphasis on technology integration and staff development for specialists and classroom teachers.
